The Voortingsplantsoen playground at the Rozenprieel neighbourhood has undergone a colorful transformation. In collaboration with the local community, we have turned the concrete play and seating objects into vibrant and inviting elements.

The playground is divided into two areas: a safe and playful space for toddlers and a more bigger object challenging zone for older children. To ensure the designs truly reflected the neighborhood, we organized drawing workshops at Buurthuis De Tulp. Together with local children, we brainstormed, crafted, and sketched ideas to bring their creativity to life. Their input is now visible in the decorations: from butterflies and flowers to mushrooms, soccer and a tic-tac-toe game.

Not only did the children help shape the designs, but they also participated in painting the playground which results in a lively and engaging public space that encourages play and strengthens community bonds.
